How many sessions will I need?
Usually 2-4 procedures. The first procedure is to build up. The 2nd procedure (7-10 days after initial) is to build density. A third and fourth session is only needed if the client wants to build up more density. You rather build up slowly then overdo it for the most natural results.
Is the treatment painful?
The average person rates the pain a 2-3/10. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. Some people find the procedure soothing and relaxing.
How is the recovery period?
Client will experience some redness and swelling for a few days after procedure. The color will be darker for the first 7-10 days. Bruising can occur time to time.
What if I use hair systems?
You are not to wear any hair systems, wigs or hair pieces for 10-14 days before the procedure. Your skin needs to breath.
How long after laser treatments will I have to wait?
If you just finished scalp micropigmentation laser treatments you must wait 8 weeks until we can do the procedure.
What if I have scars on my scalp?
By replicating tiny hair follicles inside the scarring and blending the color around the scarring area, transplant and surgical scars can see massive improvement in concealment.
Will the pigment used fade or change color?
The strength of the color should last for many years. Long term, a client will gradually begin to notice slight lightening of the color. At this point, a color refresh session is recommended to restore any fading that had occurred and to build up the density again.
When can I start washing my head?
Immediately after with baby shampoo (used for two weeks).

What pigments do you use?
We use organic pigments. We use the safest cosmetic tattoo pigments.
Can I get scalp micropigmentation if I am pregnant or nursing?
As a precaution, we do not perform scalp micropigmentation on pregnant or nursing women. You will have to wait a minimum of 60 days after birth/nursing.
How old do you have to be to get scalp micropigmentation?
You must be 18 years or older to receive a scalp micropigmentation service at Brownude.
